Lotta Love for Gatta: A Sky-High Score for Gatta Anaerobic

We know our Gatta Anaerobic is good. Crazy good. Good enough to take to competition, even. Still, when Coffee Review in their March tasting report awarded this recent Ethiopian micro lot with a soaring 94 points, we were blissfully over the moon. Gatta Anaerobic is Olympia Coffee's first-ever anaerobic coffee from Ethiopia, sourced from producer Kenean Dukamo of Gatta Farm in Sidamo. It also happens to be the only lot on Coffee Review's list that hails from the African continent. Huila Colombia June 2013

  This was my first visit to San Sebastian de la Plata in Huila, Colombia, an area that Olympia Coffee has been purchasing coffee from and visiting every year for the last four years.  Seeing it first hand I was struck by the beauty of the landscape, how massive the country is and how small the farms are.  Most of the farms we work with are only two hectares (about 5 acres) in size, with most of the work being done by the family that owns the farm.  We work with a handful of farms using a transparent buying program...
