Konga is an Organic and Fair Trade-certified cooperative in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia. The cooperative’s 1,400 members grow traditional heirloom Ethiopian coffee varietals at altitudes over 6,000 feet above sea level. As a note, the Konga Cooperative is not to be confused with the generic "Konga" label that gets added to coffee from this area of Yirgacheffe. This is the real deal: this cooperative is a part of the larger Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, one of our long-standing partners. And the coffees from Konga Cooperative, who we've been delighted to work with for many years, are as delicious as ever.
