Gitwe Natural Micro Lot 4 represents one day's harvest from Gitwe Hill in Burundi. These coffees are grown by a diverse collection of farmers who pool together their lots for processing at Heza washing station. This is one of two stations in Burundi run by the Long Miles Coffee Project, founded by Ben Carlson (a great friend of Olympia Coffee) with the dream of improving the lives of coffee farmers in this special country.

We have worked with the team at Long Miles from the very beginning, and we're so proud to see the life-changing impact our purchases have made for these farmers and their community.

Light Roast: Agtron 65

The Agtron scale ranges from 0 to 100, with 0 being the darkest and 100 being the lightest. The most common range for roasted coffee is typically between 25 (very dark) and 75 (very light).

- 0-30: Very dark roast

- 30-45: Dark roast

- 45-55: Medium-dark roast

- 55-65: Medium roast

- 65-75: Light roast

- 75-100: Very light roast

We purchased 12 x 60kg bags for $6.85 er LB USD FOB. We worked with Long Miles Coffee Project-Community Coffee Collective and Imported into the USA with Royal Coffee.


We are proud to compensate our packaging team with a Living Wage of $20.75-$24.00 per hour, and our roasting team with a Living Wage of $21-26 per hour at our roastery.
