Flavors of candied citrus, dark chocolate, and jasmine
Konga is an Organic and Fair Trade certified cooperative in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia. The cooperative’s 1,400 members grow traditional heirloom Ethiopian coffee varietals at altitudes over 6,000 feet above sea level. The Konga Cooperative is not to be confused with the generic "konga" label that gets added to coffee from this area of Yirgacheffe. This is the real deal, the Coopertive is part of the larger Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Coopertive Union. Konga Cooperative has been a great partner for many years at Olympia. We have won a Good Food Awards with Konga and is also one of the coffees we submitted to the Roaster of Year Competition, which in turn combined with two other coffees gave Olympia Coffee Roasting Co. the highest combined scores in the history of the competition.
