We have some incredible coffees launching this month, one of them being Marta Mejia's micro lot! She is a producer of indigenous descent from Huehuetenango in Guatemala and you can find her speaking Spanish and Mam (an ancient Mayan language) at her farm. Indigenous peoples often face discrimination, so it is especially encouraging to see that her coffee is the first single-producer micro lot we are able to source from this region. Usually, lots from Huehuetenango are too small to be sold on their own, so we've made them viable by grouping them into our El Templo offering. Marta Mejia and her family have produced a coffee that is altogether delicious, high in quality, and can stand on its own. We are proud to be able to share this with you today!
